Interactive International Clothing Program at Easton Library
We are excited to announce that the World Awareness Children’s Museum Outreach Program will visit the Easton Library on Wednesday, July 9, at 1 p.m. Through interactive stations and hands-on activities, students will examine international clothing. This engaging program is designed for children in grades 3-5. An educator from WACM will teach map skills, explore sources of international clothing materials and their manufacturing processes, discuss how weather influences clothing choices, and conclude with an art project.
The World Awareness Children’s Museum in Glens Falls, NY, has been a NYS Designated Charter Museum since 1995, dedicated to exposing children to our diverse world. Its collection features items from 140 countries, including over 8,000 artifacts such as clothing, musical instruments, dolls, toys, and other objects, along with more than 7,000 pieces of international children’s art.
Please pre-register for this 75-minute program by calling Easton Library at 518-692-2253, visiting the library in person, or scanning the QR code on the flyer. This program is part of the “Color Our World” Summer Reading Program and is sponsored by Friends of Easton Library.
