What's New at the Easton Library

Patron Registration

Julia Hoover, Easton library trustee, receives her patron identification card, which can be used at any library in the Southern Adirondack Library System and the Mohawk Valley Library Association.

If you have not already done so, please stop in during library hours to get your library card.

AT HOME IN EASTON

Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 8 p.m. in Burton Hall

An evening of stories and music and it's all about "you" the people of Easton!

Professional storyteller and musician, Bairbre McCarthy and musicians, Frank Orsini and John Cromie as well as some of our own Easton folks will entertain at this mixed-media event sharing stories and reminiscences that present a portrait of life in Easton.

Easton Library has been busy collecting stories from Easton residents, past and present, young and old with the goal of creating a rich and varied archive for the future. If you have a story to share, please contact the library.

This event is made possible, in part, with public funds from the NYS Council on the Arts Decentralization Program administered locally by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.

STORYTELLING

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 1:30 p.m. in the library meeting room

Mary Murphy, a storyteller from the Story Circle of the Capital District will tell "The Cricket Who sang at the Wedding" and other entertaining stories related to the summer reading theme.

WIZARDS

Wednesday, July, 9, 2008, 1:30 p.m. in the library meeting room

Wizards, Mr E. and the Mysterious Chu explore Anansi the Spider tales as interpreted by LoonWorks. These fanciful adventures will engage the audience with stage illusion, puppetry and comedy.

LIVE ANIMALS

Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.

Bernadette Hoffman, zookeeper from Flag Acres will give a live animal presentation including an interactive educational game, question and answer session and touch time.
